The Florida Phoenix Announces Award-Winning Journalist and Author Craig Pittman as Contributor

Pittman to Provide Weekly Column on Environmental Issues

Tallahassee, FL – The Florida Phoenix, an award-winning, nonprofit news outlet announced today that Craig Pittman has joined the outlet as a regular contributor starting April 9th. Pittman most recently served for over two decades at the Tampa Bay Times as an Environment, Growth and Development reporter.

“Floridians cherish their environment, from the Everglades to sugar-sand beaches and state parks to fragile coral reefs and the iconic and endangered Florida panther. A native Floridian, Pittman has covered a range of issues from natural disasters to the Florida legislature over his long career. Pittman is also a renowned author of five books, including Oh, Florida! How America’s Weirdest State Influences the Rest of the Country, a New York Times bestseller and Florida Book Awards gold medal recipient.
